How to Store Moisturizers

Even though moisturizers aren't prone to freezing, proper storage is still important to ensure their quality. Generally, moisturizers should be stored in a dry, dark, and well-ventilated environment. Because moisturizers contain many volatile ingredients, storing them in a humid environment can cause mold and spoilage. Avoiding direct sunlight will prevent the ingredients from oxidizing and decomposing, thus affecting their moisturizing effect. Furthermore, moisturizers should be kept away from air as much as possible, as this can cause oxidation of the ingredients and reduce their effectiveness.
