Leave-on masks, also known as sleeping masks, are generally used before bed and then cleaned off the next morning. After cleansing your skin, apply toner, serum, and lotion first, then apply the leave-on mask. The leave-on mask forms a film on the skin's surface, creating a occlusive effect to lock in nutrients and allow the skin to absorb more nutrients in a shorter time.

Leave-on masks utilize a thick layer of essence to prevent the skin from contacting the air, thus preventing moisture evaporation, increasing the humidity of the stratum corneum, and softening the stratum corneum. The increased skin temperature also dilates pores, facilitating the absorption of nutrients. When applying a leave-on mask, it should not be too thin or too thick. Apply the mask using a five-point dot method, then gently massage in circular motions to spread it evenly and form a film.
